Two new app will revolutionize the way we read the news.
It’s the news the last battlefield on which the giants collide technological: with a remarkable synchrony, Samsung and Apple have announced their services to provide news to users.
Drawing on their presence in the mobile industry, the two companies are waging war on the battleship Google News, which always has an adversarial relationship with publishers, launching two apps for iOS respectively 9 and for all Samsung devices.
The proposal is called Samsung Upday: established through an agreement with the German publisher Axel Springer, Upday breaks the news in different sections, which are grouped into major categories.
The first contains information prepared by journalists of Axel Springer, while the other will contain the most interesting articles prepared by the other partners of Samsung. The service involves primarily Germany and Poland, but the beginning of 2016 will be extended to other states, each of which will be established a dedicated team to take charge of making or report the most important news.
Apple News will instead be linked to the launch of the new version of the operating system for iPhone and iPad, which is currently still well hidden by veils will be lifted only when there will be the official presentation (expected to be announced within not many days).
The app Apple is essentially an aggregator, fishing them from the major news sites and presenting them in the interests of the user. Again behind the app there are agreements with various media groups, however, on which the Cupertino company has so far kept secret except to say that the number of partners currently hovers around fifty.
