(AGI) – Nokia will sell maps HERE to the three big German car – BMW, Audi and Daimler – who confirmed that they have reached an agreement to acquire the business of the maps from the Finnish company.
The transaction enhances HERE about 2.8 billion euro (2.5 billion which the selling price and 300 million of debt) and provides that the three brands each detect a third of the business. The transaction will be completed in 2016. “The acquisition is aimed at ensuring the availability of long-term HERE and other related services, free of charge, independent and able to create value for all those who use the maps and services for mobility, “BMW said in a statement.
