After the fifth consecutive quarter in the red Samsung aims to re-launch and give a hard time to rival Apple in the lead. In the second event ‘Unpacked’ of 2015, in New York, the South Korean manufacturer has unveiled two new smartphones – or rather ‘phablet’ given the size – tip: the Galaxy S6 edge + and Note5 Galaxy . Also officially announced the dates of departure of the payment system ‘Mobile’ Pay Samsung in Korea and the US and was also shown a video ‘teaser’ of the new generation that will smartwatch Gear circular dial.
Online with “rumors” that circulated on the net for weeks, Samsung beats Apple on time – that is expected to announce new iPhone in early September – and the curtain rises on the new flagship smartphone. The Galaxy S6 edge + has a larger screen edge dell’S6 launched in Barcelona: the Quad HD Super AMOLED display is 5.7 inches, with the aim of offering a multimedia experience “more immersive.” The design is rather almost identical, with elegant body made of glass and metal and curved screen. The same 5.7-inch display for Note5, curved at the back to provide greater portability and with a stylus more ‘smart’. Both devices come with the operating system Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Italian press office of Samsung are aware that the availability of Note 5 is not currently planned in Italy, while in early September is expected to arrive in our country’s Galaxy S6 + edge. Not yet known prices.
With new Galaxy also officially debuts Samsung Pay (in Korea from August 20 and September 28 in the US and “the coming months” in Europe), the system for payments ‘Mobile’ that He throws down the gauntlet to Apple Pay. Samsung Pay in fact works with both NFC technology (the same as apple pay) with both a new system that exploits the magnetic signal that goes to simulate the “swiping” of a credit card, therefore compatible with existing Pos. Samsung Pay also store loyalty cards and gift cards of various shops and promises with the safety system “Knox”.
From Lincoln Center in New York on South Korean giant also announced exciting new features. Among these is “Live Broadcast” in the wake of the emerging services of streaming video from your smartphone. This is not a new application to download – as Periscope or Meerkat – but of a camera function that allows users to broadcast ‘live’ video directly to YouTube. “SideSync” allows the new Galaxy instead of connecting to a computer or tablet to “drag” items from one screen to another. It comes a new accessory for the S6 edge +: a cover part that from the back you ‘off’ to be applied to the bottom of the screen “touch” and become a physical keyboard.
