Microsoft, Windows 9 arrives: to be announced September 30 – The Messenger

Microsoft speeds up the work and will officially announce Windows 9 September 30.

The preview comes from the American site The Verge citing several anonymous sources, but the voice seems far already established whereas other sites in recent days had raised the impending release of the new operating system from Microsoft.

The watchword is to forget and to forget the bad users to switch to Windows 8, the release that was supposed to be revolutionary and instead proved to be a boomerang, so that Net Applications shows how the current market share is around around 13%.

The arrival of the new CEO Satya Nadella and the output of the old regime – three days the announcement of the absolute withdrawal of former CEO Steve Ballmer, now focused on his Los Angeles Clippers acquired along with other investors for two billion dollars – has given new life to the group in Redmond and especially given a new horizon and equity: Microsoft needs to focus on software development and catch up to become a leading player in the mobile market.

The new policy starts from 9 Windows, an operating system that already from the name (that is code Threshold) wants to break with the past (which is why it is right to avoid Windows 8.2 or Windows 8.5). What will be new? Early to tell, of course, even if the certainty is the return of the Start button, abolished in Windows 8 and clamored by users.

not as good as in the past but with a new look halfway between as it was in Windows 7 and Windows 8 tiles More passage almost certainly should be the elimination of the Charms Bar and reversal of the trend towards the use of keyboard and mouse, favorite for the coveted desktop to the touch.

The main question is Cortana, the virtual assistant to tell you great things and that could be one of the strengths of Windows 9, although the current state of development suggests a possible arrival in draft form.

We must understand, then, how the company wants to move with Windows RT and Windows Phone since it is difficult to think that it intends to continue to invest in three different operating systems. The intent is to develop one that is compatible with the mobile environment and the desktop without forcing the hand in both directions but the example of Windows 8 shows how the road is difficult.

So many questions to be resolved and crucial decisions: September 30 we will know for sure a little more about what Microsoft wants to do.
