Facebook introduces Instant Video, the direct landing on Messenger – The Messenger

A new feature comes to Facebook Messenger: it is called Instant Video, and allows you to record live footage in the traditional chat space. This means that it is a kind of video, because communication between users is live, but with some changes. To launch the video must first download to your Android device and iOS the latest version of Facebook Messenger. Within the chat, will appear in the upper right icon of video camera that allows you to start the live among the participants in the conversation. The other party will only see the images, and can turn on the sound later (just like the videos that are activated by default in the home on which you must click to get even the sound). Only after the chat mate will decide whether to launch in turn a live during which it will, however, continue writing. Instant Video works if participants have the conversation open on their device.

The news seems too much to typical Snapchat video calls. Zuckerberg must have noticed the success and brought the idea to his home where the people of users is much more consistent. The interactions are fascinated by the direct leaving, however, to these forms of communication to the typical time lag of the chat: live, yes, but with expectations that a screen in the middle for internet entails. In fact, as early as 2015 Facebook Messenger had bet on video offering a service, perhaps, trying to make shoes to Skype, giant video calls. Today, a different move: “The video call – we read on the official post of the social networks – a product is still relatively new, and until recently reserved only for special occasions. Instant Video is only the reflection of the ubiquity of video; we just had to wait until you have the ability to use them in real time, all the time. “
