CAMPUS
Wisdom for three days was literally overrun by visitors. It was an invasion positive, full of enthusiasm and creativity. From the stand of the Messenger, located right in the center of campus, we could live from inside an experience that will remain in the heart of the city. Already multiply requests that the “spirit maker” of free sharing does not end with this event. Also yesterday, the last day of the fair, people were not frightened by the bad weather. And the organizer Riccardo Luna reiterated that already can not wait to leave, or rather to continue with this path. Bringing the world of the makers to the companies, to extend the message and the philosophy of “open source” the Maker Faire here is the mission, already partly achieved, to be pursued in every way, to emphasize that Italy is able to become a European benchmark for technological innovation.
“Tomorrow we will take a day off,” he told the Messenger TV Massimiliano Colella, general manager of Asset Chamber, who along with Richard Moon and co-founder Arduino Massimo Banzi, she set out to export capital in the large fair that before 2013 was held in the US alone. “But with Richard we will get to work immediately to think about how to evolve this event yet. It seems that we will have to deal with an influx of more and more people. “
TURNING
True, the Wisdom roamed the stands a record number of visitors. But that’s not what the Maker Faire this year is perhaps a shift from already successful editions of the past two years. The quality of the exhibits is significantly increased, but what really surprises is something more intangible numbers of access or that of present-makers (600). It’s the atmosphere, the clear feeling that something big was happening. That among the pavilions and gazebos, among many little robots, between boards and components of all sizes, there between devices even more special and seemingly useless, you were really building tomorrow.
