Windows 9, Metro redux – Computer Point

Rome – The arrival of the first pre-release version of Windows “Threshold” 9 should now be forthcoming, and while they wait for days until September 30 appeared online new rumors about the future of OS under the form of screenshots and videos from a recent build of the system. The leak, all strictly “stolen” in violation of the terms of use that describe how to build confidence and not suitable for public discussion, confirmed many of the things being discussed for a long time and bring into light a truth now regarded as established: Modern interface / Metro is here to stay, even if in a different incarnation than that seen with Windows 8 (.1).
The Start menu, to begin with, it is almost fully defined in the new design that combines elements of a graphical desktop Modern and app / Metro, with the latter that can be locked or not on the menu and, if desired, you can delete everything in order to have available a Start very similar to that available on Windows 7

The screenshots have emerged alongside the new video then shows a design element desktop even flatter than that of Windows 8, Metro clear influence on the GUI of the system, the app running in the window Modern (enlargeable up to full screen), the functionality of virtual desktops that multiplies the number of desktops (with its own set of icons and running applications) in a manner not dissimilar from what is already available on Linux and more. To not be a part, at least initially, the allocation of Windows Internet Explorer 9 seems to be 12.

Waiting to distribute the official beta of the next Windows to the public, Microsoft is finally committed to extend the adoption of the OS tiles (+ windows) also on the board of development on the kind of Galileo and Sharks Cove. After all, the demand for cards Galileo went well beyond expectations, explain to Redmond, and therefore there is no need to ignore a promising niche.
