The iPhone SE has a range of records , better than the iPhone 6S and Galaxy S7, two models that have distinguished themselves for a period well above average. It is perhaps the most interesting detail that emerges from the first full reviews of the new Apple smartphone, in particular that of the Wall Street Journal.
The New York newspaper submitted the iPhone SE to a web browsing test, in which the new smartphone has been on for ten hours. “Over two hours longer than iPhone 6S and iPhone 5S, and almost three hours longer than Galaxy S7.”

A single test does not reflect course all possible contexts of use, so depending on how you use your phone the iPhone SE could last for two full days (light use), or less than a day (if you use video games) . What counts in this context is the comparison with other products considered, under the same conditions.
What does not tell us the review written by Geoffrey A. Fowler is the detail on battery capacity, a kind of technical detail which in any case is never tested on how the WSJ. Until someone does not unmount or examine the iPhone SE more closely, therefore, we must rely on the assumptions: it is reasonable to assume that the battery of this smartphone is between 1,600 and 1,800 mAh, which should be considered very similar in size to that of the 5S – 1,560 mAh. The iPhone 6S instead reaches 1,715 mAh.
Beyond the capacity in mAh, however, most of the autonomy of the iPhone SE is surely due to the small screen and the relatively small number of pixels. A smaller LCD IPS panel requires less energy, and less pixels to move to the screen means less work – so lower energy consumption – for the hardware platform.

The iPhone SE also has the same A9 SoC Apple with coprocessor M9 iPhone 6S, which boasts among its consumption rather than content quality, thanks to the fact that the CPU has only two cores .
