There are many images of the Earth in the background shot of the moon or another planet in the Solar System. But all have a special feature: they are spectacular and even exciting. Because, unlike those taken in low-orbit satellites or from the international space station, give the feeling of “foreignness” of “away from home” that lights something in us. The last in order of time, and the most beautiful, is released by NASA on December 19. It was realized using a series of images taken on 12 October by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, which is in fact in orbit around our natural satellite. You notice what the Americans like to call “Biglia Blue” (Blue Marble) rising over the edge of the crater Compton (NASA / Goddard / Arizona State University)
