So, there is still time to submit projects and apply to participate in the third edition of the “Maker Faire Rome”. Projects will be selected by a jury and will participate for free. Space to those creative, innovative, fun, interactive, showing the process by which something is realized and that enrich visitors communicating passion and ingenuity.
In summary, you can propose: projects to be exhibited in a stand ; public presentations; workshops and demonstrations; performances and exhibitions. Entries can be submitted until June 15, on line, the site dedicated http://www.makerfairerome.eu/it/call-for-makers.
Call4schools. As part of the event, Asset Room, Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Department of School, Sport, Youth and Participation of Roma Capitale has launched the “Call4schools” initiative dedicated to students, through which you can submit original and innovative projects which will be selected by a jury. Applications may be submitted until the ‘June 8, on line, the site dedicated www.makerfairerome.eu/it/call-for-schools.
La Participation is open to all secondary schools and the ITS (higher technical institutes) and is aimed, in particular, to educational institutions of technical and professional sector, for their natural vocation, they organize their education courses with teaching methods that they know properly combine scientific knowledge and technology with the size of the concrete and the “know-how” orienting students to unimmediato approach to testing and all ‘innovation. The “Call4schools” is, however, open to all school guidelines, individual students, classes, study groups or entire institutions.
This year, 30 projects will be selected to be showcased in a dedicated area. Will be judged, with particular attention, those projects that will highlight the process of digital manufacturing and will have one or more of the following characteristics: 1) new intelligence applied to traditional products or processes (with sensors, 3d printing and new technologies); 2) potential profitability; 3) sustainability; 4) inclusiveness; 5) interactivity and visitor engagement.
