Google Play Music offers free streaming like Spotify – The Republic

GOOGLE Play Music now offers free music streaming like the competitors Spotify and Deezer. The news is a few hours ago that deals exclusively with the US market. In Italy in fact even for playback of its 30 million audio tracks you have to pay EUR 9.99 per month.

Google seems to have wanted to play in advance of the expected Apple Music, which will open the show on June 30th. Google Play Music relies on classic business model based on advertising: the flow of audio listening is interrupted by commercials every three or four tracks.
