Intel and the smartwatch for Parkinson’s – Mobile Magazine

What the natural outlet of the devices to wear was in the study and prevention of disease , and in the improvement of health was easily predictable. More interesting to see how this simple hypothesis is translated into projects concrete .

So in the first line, this time, there are Intel and Michael J. Fox Foundation , which takes its name from the famous star of Back to the Future affected by Alzheimer’s Parkinson . And just to study the symptoms of this disease we have developed a smartwatch , is connected to its smartphone .

The goal is collect data and statistics, keeping track of people in movement in order to create the basis for a research capable of analyze health status of patients with Parkinson’s worldwide. The smartwatch will then have the task of monitor sleep, tremors, displaced and business carry individuals, before and after taking medication. The smartphone will send the data through a ‘ application dedicated.
