Amazon lands in the library: for now it is just rumors, but, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, the online giant will open up to 400 libraries in the coming months, allowing customers to browse through “live” books before buying them.
The goal also serves to bridge the gap with other competitors: if online Amazon seems to have no rivals, what is lacking is the immediacy to the giant shopping, that allow customers to quickly put his hand on the object of desire . Amazon recently launched delivery in one hour in 20 American cities by the dearth and in 2015 opened the first library in Seattle.
On the other hand the interest in the paper’s founder Jeff Bezos has already proven when you consider purchase of the Washington Post and the recent launch of Amazon Publishing publishing house, the promotion of which could be much more “physical” easy in future libraries.
