At CERN in Geneva began the first particle collisions at an energy never before achieved: 13 tera electron volt.
A revolution in the world of physics that allow us to investigate phenomena never studied, such as the composition of dark matter.
"It is a historic step for physics and technology, made possible by the contribution of Italy," said Fabiola Gianotti, designated director of CERN.
