Italians spend more than half of the time online on the app – ANSA.it

italians are more and more mobile applications and smartphones and tablets now monopolize their time online. This is what emerges from a survey of comScore, according to which more than half of the minutes “digital” in Italy in October has been spent on the app. And on the same users spent 87% of the total time online on mobile devices.
The survey, conducted on a sample of users with more than 18 years of age, of smartphones and tablets Android and iOS, also certifies that, overall, the italians spend more than 46 hours per month on applications, compared to slightly more than 7 hours of direct navigation on the “mobile web”. The total number of minutes that the italians have spent on the app in October amounted to 49 million days, equivalent to 134 thousand years, the time it would take to get back in the Paleolithic.
The growth of the Italian digital market, explain analysts, is driven by the consumption of the internet “mobile”. The trend most obvious is the explosion of applications to the detriment of the desktop, the minutes of October 2016 were down 21% compared to the previous year.
at the top of the most-used apps are those that refer to giants such as Google and Facebook. To October Android smartphone over 70% of the minutes spent on the top-100 apps for the time spent belongs to the first five of the list. A given, say analysts, “that shows how the competitors will face a strong concentration”. This is also shown by data on downloads in October, more than 56% of italians have not downloaded even one app, and of those who did so more than 57% have downloaded only one or two. Only a few users have downloaded more than six applications during the month and represent less than 9% of the total audience.
