MILAN – the Apple would be in talks with McLaren Technology Group, the manufacturer of sports cars and English team of the Formula 1, for a possible acquisition. This was reported by the Financial Times citing some sources, according to which the move is the clearest signal of how Apple points to transform the industry of the four wheels. The news was however denied by McLaren. By the time the house of Apple is trying to get into the auto industry and has already started research to build a vehicle without a driver and the electrical. The british company is evaluated between a milardo and a half billion pounds, but does not generate profits. It would be the largest acquisition of Apple, after the transaction, Beats Electronics, the audio group founded by Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine that was bought for 3 billion dollars and after the advent of Tim Cook, not hostile to large acquisitions. The McLaren produces cars that, on average, cost a million dollars and makes use of cutting-edge technologies that experience in Formula One. Last year, the british house has produced in 1654 car for a turnover of 450 million pounds, and has plans for a billion investment for the next six years. The company is owned by its chairman, Ron Dennis, Mansour Ojjeh and Mumtalakat, the sovereign wealth fund of Bahrain. Apple would be interested in the portfolio of technologies, engineering, and patents. From the 2014 Apple has built a team of hundreds of designers and engineers, to work on the car elettica of the future, recruiting, among other things, staff from Tesla and Mercedes-Benz. Recently the New York Times wrote, instead, that the firm of Cupertino would have given up partially to its ambitions in the sector by sacking most of the staff working on the project. By the time the british newspapers alternate voices and the continuous denials on the subject, without ever getting confirmation from the company that has never spoken openly of his desire to land in a traditional business such as that of the car, bringing a strong innovative spirit.
