Android for Work, Android comes in Enterprises – PianetaCellulare.it

Today there are over a billion people in the world who own an Android smartphone, these are devices that each new generation becoming more powerful with the aim of replacing, at least in part, the computer.

For many people, these phones are important tools to finish work activities such as check email, write documents and approve contracts. In most cases, however, smartphones and tablets are little used in the work, and therefore their business potential is untapped.

To get around this, Google unveiled Android for Work , a program created to help businesses bring more devices in the world of work, “making it more secure and innovating the Android platform,” Google wrote in a statement.

They are mainly four key technological components of Android for Work:

Profiles Professional – improved database encryption enabled by default, enhanced security features and SELinux support multi-user on Android 5.0 Lollipop to create professional profiles dedicated able to protect data. E ‘can now have app professional and their personal app, with the assurance that their personal information will remain safe. people can use their own personal app knowing that the employer can only manage data related to the app working, not being able to access your personal content.

Android App for Work – For devices Ice Cream Sandwich and Kitkat or without a job profiles is available Android app for Work that guarantees a secure email, calendar, contacts, documents, web browsing and access to professional app approved, managed by the IT department.

Google Play for Work – enables companies to integrate and safely manage apps for all users that use Android for Work.

Integrated tools Productivity – To simplify the work, a suite of professional apps to manage email, contacts and calendar that supports Exchange and Notes and provides features to edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

Google also announced the first set of partners who will be part of Android for Work program, including many well-known names within the Android ecosystem – AirWatch by VMware; Blackberry; Citrix; Google Apps for Work; Maas 360 by IBM; MobileIron; SAP; Soti.
