The European Union defends Net Neutrality – Altopascio.info

image2_large On many occasions we discussed the Net Neutrality or Net Neutrality , a principle that wants to make the Internet a place open to all that can not be restricted from the outside, offering each user the ability to navigate in complete freedom .
This principle, however, continues to be threatened by a number of factors, such as the recent proposals of telecom giants pushing to have a two-speed network with certain privileges. Well, this time, according to rumors, the danger could come from Italy.

Among the various proposals made in Italy, one that makes more headlines is that related to the ability to give providers the ability to restrict, block, alter or degrade the connectivity to certain services, content or applications.

In fact, European Digital Rights in recent days has leaked a document from the Italian Presidency which states that the main objective is to take measures that do not hinder innovation with rules obsolete, but the proposals, it seems, would risk instead of eliminating the very definition of net neutrality.

Following is proposed to postpone the date from which the course to give new roaming rules (equating Community to national roaming) and assumed a new exploratory mandate to re-discuss these issues further.
We’ll see how it develops further the delicate affair.
