Beautiful, safe and 5 stars. The Alfa Romeo Giulia won the coveted security asters: the highest in the European EuroNCAP crash tests conducted by the independent. The sedan Alfa has achieved a record score of 98% for adult protection. It is the highest score for a car since in 2015 the tests were made more stringent and better as much as 97% clocked by maxi Volvo SUV: the XC90.
CHILDREN SAFE – – in its report the EuroNCAP awarded the maximum points in the frontal and side impact tests thanks to the presence of head restraints with anti-whiplash system and the automatic braking device of emergency. For child protection at the Giulia it was awarded a high 81%, affected only by the fact that the central rear seat does not have Isofix attachments for child seats, provided instead for the two sides. In this regard EuroNCAP however it stresses that the same Alfa Romeo indicating that the central place of the sofa is not suitable to arrange the seats universal.
excellent result – the Alfa Romeo announced that the award has been achieved through two key elements: the adoption of innovative safety devices; and the efficiency of a body as rigid and resistant as lightweight made of ultra-light materials such as fiber of carbon, aluminum and a its composite. In addition the new Giulia comes standard on all versions Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and the Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB) with pedestrian recognition. A radar sensor and an integrated camera in the windscreen detects the presence of any obstacles, alerts the driver to the imminent risk of a collision and automatically intervene to brake the car. Finally, part of the standard equipment the Lane Departure Warning (LDW), which recognizes unintentional lane changes and warns the driver of the danger.
